Total Home is an award-winning home remodeler, specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, and basements; while also acting as a dealer/installer rep to the Marvin Windows and LP Siding line of products.

Total Home was looking for a mobile solution they could utilize when sitting down with potential clients and dynamically review case studies and materials relevant to their project needs.
As a home remodeler, the company has been challenged by the customer’s expectations to have instant access to case studies images for every job they have ever done in order to not only verify the quality of our work they do, but also provide inspiration and ideas for what they want to achieve in their particular project. Potential clients want to immediately review material options and gain an understanding of the costs involved so they can decide to move ahead with the contractor. Reps must be confident and highly prepared when walking in to meet with a client in this highly personalized profession.

When selling, any time wasted or question unanswered when in front of potential clients can be the difference between getting the job, or losing out to the competition who may not be a better builder, but has a better presentation. Total Home needed a tool to make them stand out.

How We Did It
The Command.App implementation team took Total Home through our proven onboarding process where we quickly gained an understanding of the app solution requirements, and how users would need to interact with the customer in order to be successful.

Using proven navigation templates that are designed to handle complexity, a beta app was quickly built and placed in the hands of a few key sales reps in order to solidify the situational navigation necessary to be effective in the field. With a few tweaks made from the feedback received from the reps, v1.0 was finalized and rolled out company wide.
To help streamline the collection of specific project data, our drag & drop form builder toolset was added to Total Home’s solution package so they can easily create and implement a pre-work inspection digital-form while on location.

An organizational administrator was trained and certified as a Command.App Commander, and Total Home now has the keys to update content and manage users with ease. As new remodels are completed and new case studies developed, they simply add them to their app and roll out an update, guaranteeing that all the reps can approach their next potential client with the latest and greatest materials at their fingertips.

The home office can quickly add new content and roll it out to our entire team via the Command.App cloud-based portal. It doesn’t matter where the reps are, they’ll have the most up-to-date pictures and examples of their work on the phones, tablets and devices they use everyday.

Having the pre-work inspection form on our project managers’ devices has allowed them to be more efficient and mistake free while on the jobsite. They’re able to easily complete a pre-work inspection and stay on task with their daily recording of safety and quality control measures.
